The Winning Edge DVD Series
My company, Dressage Dimensions, produces unique DVDs that I've created with Christopher Hickey, renowned FEI rider and trainer.
"Thank you for helping to foster the growth of national and international amateur competition as well as increase public awareness of this wonderful sport."
~United States Equestrian Federation, Inc.
The Winning Edge products are excellent educational tools suitable for judges, trainers, and riders at any level. The first two volumes of The Winning Edge cover all 18 of the 2007 USEF Dressage Tests. Volume 3 focuses on the Young Horse Tests for 5 and 6 Year Olds and Volume 4 includes the Young Rider Team Test, Prix St-Georges and Intermediaire 1. Included are mounted warm-ups for each level in which Chris demonstrates key movements and comments on training strategies for success in the show ring. I judge each test in real time, just as I would at a show, with scores and comments for every movement. Click here to order the DVDs.
Ride-A-Test Clinic
My Ride-A-Test Clinic is a great way for riders to hone their competitive edge in a structured training environment. Each rider chooses the test she’d like to perform and I judge it with a scribe. Afterwards, we discuss the test and spend 15 to 20 minutes working on how to improve the scores through planning and practice. I also suggest ways in which future training can address any problems that are present.
Getting More 10's on the 6.5 Horse Clinc
My unique workshop, Getting More 10’s on The 6.5 Horse, can be used in conjunction with a clinic or as a separate program for meetings or roundtable discussions. The workshop lasts about 2 hours and includes handouts as well as video segments. My goal is to show riders how to improve their scores on average horses through a better understanding of what judges are looking for and what is required at each level to maximize performance.
